Explore Drake’s Island under sail in Bounty’s End. This is a two hour adventure onboard the replica launch from Channel 4’s hit television series, Mutiny. We set sail from the Bounty Centre at Mount Batten and sail to Drake’s Island, rounding the Island with incredible views across Plymouth Sound, Mount Edgecumbe national park and The Hoe, before heading back home.

Drake’s Island is now open to the public for tours and it is possible to land. If you would like to land on the Island, please let us know and we will speak to the owner. There might be an additional charge for landing.

Explore Royal William Yard under sail in Bounty’s End. This is a four hour adventure onboard the replica launch from Channel 4’s hit television series, Mutiny. We set sail from the Bounty Centre at Mount Batten and sail to Drake’s Island, rounding the Island with incredible views across Plymouth Sound, Mount Edgecumbe national park and The Hoe.

We then enter the small harbour of the Royal William Yard and discover one of the most spectacular victualling yards in British Naval history. This is one of our favourite places in the world to arrive by boat and tie up alongside for lunch, a coffee or something a little stronger.

This is a wonderful voyage for a special occasion and we can arrange to drop you off for lunch or dinner and pick you up later if you prefer. Please contact us if you would like to make special arrangements. We can also recommend places to eat at Royal William Yard or book you a History Tour

Explore Plymouth Sound under sail in Bounty’s End. This is a four hour adventure onboard the replica launch from Channel 4’s hit television series, Mutiny. We set sail from the Bounty Centre at Mount Batten and sail to Drake’s Island, rounding the Island with incredible views across Plymouth Sound, Mount Edgecumbe national park and The Hoe, before heading south to Cawsand Bay for a short stop. From there we explore the Breakwater Fort and Bovisand Fort before sailing back to Mount Batten.

This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the whole of Plymouth Sound. If conditions allow we can stop at Cawsand Bay for a short stop to grab a coffee or an ice-cream.

Bounty Tours can be pre booked either at our Centre (in Mount Batten) or online. Each Tour is 30 minutes and involves a quick introduction to Bounty’s End and the history of the boat. We take small groups down onto the pontoon to look at the boat and if suitable go for a short trip in the Cattewater.

For the Green Tech Boat Show (19th-20th June 2021) we will be demonstrating the electric motor and will include a short passage from QAB to see the Mayflower Steps.

If you would like to arrange a Tour for your school or group, please email: bountyproject@sportenvironment.co.uk or send a message via Facebook Messenger on the website here.

  • “What a great weekend! Truly memorable and one we’ll all talk about over beers for a long time to come. Sailing on Bounty’s End was a real highlight for me. She’s such a unique boat to sail and you can feel her long voyage in her woodwork. We all got a feeling of satisfaction from building a camp, with bivy’s that actually stayed up and fires that burned all night! Nothing like a few rums (and beer and wine) around a fire with good friends.”
